To use AI features you must create an account with the AI provider and
generate an API key. The key is entered in the Aicyng Adventures Options panel.

AI Platforms for Aicyng Adventures
Aicyng Adventures uses modern AI models to generate adventures, create maps, power NPC conversations, and optionally produce images and voice narration. You provide your own API key and select the AI provider you prefer.
Choosing an AI Provider
Aicyng Adventures works with several major AI platforms. Each has strengths depending on the type of gameplay experience you want. Most providers require a paid tier or API billing account to generate adventures and chat with NPCs.
Model Comparison
Overview of AI capabilities currently supported in Aicyng Adventures. Prices vary between platforms and models but typical cost to create an play an adventure is around $2.00. We recommend prepay for your API with manual monitoring (no auto pay).

You can mix models together in Aicyng Adventures. For example use a xAI image model with the Open AI design module. Design modules use a medium level of thinking.

Paid Tier Requirements
AI providers require an API key and billing account.
Usage Billing
Most AI providers charge per token or request. We recommend a pre-pay model with the AI suppliers vs auto-renew models.
Your Data Your Control
Using your own API key means you control usage limits, costs, and access. Aicyng Adventures does not charge a monthly AI fee. Aicyng Adventures also does not retain any messages or interactions with your AI.

Grok Timeouts
Performance
Grok 4.6 timeouts before advneture plans are created, and can not be validated at this time. As such Grok models after 4.5 are not recommeded at this time. We will continue to monitor.
